MTH 1583 - Technical Mathematics

(Three credit hours, three lecture hours per week during a 16-week semester, no lab hours)

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has removed Technical Mathematics from the statewide list of approved courses for credit and for funding. It will not be offered at ACC again.

Students enrolled in programs which formerly included MTH 1583 should consult with an advisor for their program to decide on an appropriate mathematics course.


Catalog description: This course treats selected topics from algebra, geometry (including vectors) and trigonometry with applications. The course is not appropriate for calculus preparation. Prerequisites: A passing score on the mathematics portion of the TASP test or a satisfactory score on an appropriate assessment test or DVM 1163.
