Report from Mary Wilson, Chair, on Aug. 19, 1998

To the calc iii committee,

As you all know we had a meeting on Monday. Not everyone was able to attend, so I thought I would let you know what our committee will report to the task force this afternoon.

Our report will be that we believe
i) having one calculus text for the calc sequence is desirable
ii) that the adoption of the multivariable portion of Concepts & Contexts will provide us the opportunity to do that.

If the task force decides to go this direction, then there are a few comments that will need to be made about the syllabus & ordering of texts.
