MATD 0390 Intermediate Algebra (DVM 1193)
(Three credit hours, four lecture hours per week during a 16-week semester, no lab hours)
Catalog description: A course designed to develop the skills and
understanding contained in the second year of secondary school algebra. Topics
include review of properties of real numbers, functions, algebra of functions,
inequalities, polynomials and factoring, rational expressions and equations,
radical expressions and equations, quadratic functions and their graphs, solving
quadratic equations, and exponential functions. The same course is offered in
a one hour (0190) and two hour (0290) format. Prerequisites: C or better in
MATD 0370 or its equivalent knowledge, or appropriate score on the ACC Mathematics
Assessment Test taken before enrolling in ACC mathematics courses. (DVM 1193)
