The math department makes use of two different types of computer classroom. Some of them are maintained by the math department. When something goes wrong in one of these rooms, we can go in and take care of the problem directly. The others are maintained by other departments in the college. In these cases, we cannot just go in and change things. We must go through the other department and their techs so that we don't inadvertently cause more problems than we solve. Fortunately, they have been very helpful to us in resolving problems. However, it does make it a little confusing to know who to contact with help requests. So, in the interests of simplifying this issue, we have compiled:

Matt Dennis and Mark Valdez are the techs in charge of keeping these rooms working smoothly.

This email address will be checked regularly and problems will be handled as quickly as possible (though please keep in mind that they only work part-time and have a limited schedule).

Academic Systems Classrooms:

For the most part, these are not the same as the math computer classrooms (most of our computer classrooms don't have enough computers in them for this). Each room is administered by a different tech, so check the list at the right for email links.

Software questions

This depends on the software:

  • General internet/email setup questions (including forgotten passwords) - The Help Desk (223-HELP)
  • Anti-virus software - The Help Desk (223-HELP)
  • Math software - There is no "official" source for getting help with this software. However, the following people can probably help you if you have questions: For further information on math software, go to the Math Software link at the top of this page.
