Guide for High Schools desiring to offer additional Austin Community College Mathematics courses on the high school campus.

Austin Community College Mathematics Department will consider adding a mutually beneficial college level mathematics course on a high school campus. High schools should consider the following:

Students are required to meet the pre-requisites for the intended course.

Students should also consider if this is the best educational opportunity for them at this time.

A minimum number of students will be required to enroll in order for the class to run.

The new course offering should not target the student population from currently offered ACC Mathematics courses in the area.

The Mathematics Department requests a list of interested student names with eligible ACC placement scores and available time for college course study, before considering adding a new course in a high school. Student preparedness and scheduling have been found to be major barriers for ECS student success.
