“Our students’ average competition scores were within one point of the averages of competing working photographers. The judges weren’t aware that some of the photographers are students,” says Lynn Jones, professor in the photography department. “Since we train professional photographers, we believe that it is important that our students are equal to the best working photographers in Texas.”
ACC has a longstanding relationship with TPPA. As part of the program, ACC photography students join the association, attend the TPPA summer seminar, and enter the TPPA’s print competition.

YEAH!!! Congrats students!!!
Congratulations! Way to go!
Of course they did!! ACC photography students rock!! TPPA members quiver in their boots when they show up at Kerrville! And with you and Lynn guiding them, I am sure that their images were most excellent indeed!!! Good thing they are not scored head to head with the pros, because ACC would have taken home the lion share of ribbons!!
Congratulations to all, students and instructors alike!! Once again, this shows what a quality program Photography at ACC is.
I am blown away by the talent of these wonderful students! Great job everyone! This is another example of how great instructors bring about great students! I am proud to be part of an institution that encourages students to be their best!
