There’s Still Time to Register for Spring Intramurals: Events Begin March 7

Looking for a great way to get involved at ACC? Spring intramural events kick off this week, and registration is still open. Intramurals are open to all ACC students and include a variety of activities, such as flag football, volleyball, soccer, and more.
“No sports background is needed – we welcome all levels of ability and experience,” says Tracy Partin, intramurals coordinator with Student Life. “This is about having fun and getting to know other students.”
Participants must show their student ID. Sign up online at austincc.edu/rec; for more information, contact Tracy Partin at 223.3167 or tpartin@austincc.edu.
Spring intramural schedule:
Events held on Thursdays, starting March 7:
- Men’s basketball, 6 to 10 p.m., at Dove Springs Recreation Center, 5801 Ainez Dr.
- Women’s volleyball, 6 to 10 p.m., at Dittmar Recreation Center, 1009 West Dittmar Rd.
Events held on Mondays, starting March 18:
- Flag football, 6:30 to 11:30 p.m., at SoccerZone North, 920 Old Mill Rd. in Cedar Park
- Women’s basketball, 8 to 11 p.m., at SoccerZone South, 9501 Manchaca Rd.
- Women’s soccer, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at SoccerZone North, 920 Old Mill Rd. in Cedar Park
- Men’s soccer, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at SoccerZone North, 920 Old Mill Rd., or SoccerZone South, 9501 Manchaca Rd.

track is a great idea, I will sure take a look at it, especially in regards to the Hershey’s Track Program.

will there be any men’s or co-rec softball???
we have been looking at co-rec softball for possibly next Spring!
Will there be notifications for summer and fall intramurals? If we can’t register for spring at the current time?

Caitlin, we do offer women’s volleyball both Fall and Spring sememsters. We are currently in the middle of the Spring semester but will offer it again next Fall.
Why are there no co-ed teams and where is the men’s volleyball team?
osaucedo, co-rec is an option we are looking at for the near semesters, men’s volleyball did not get much response before. But we can sure take a look at it again!
Co-ed Softball would be great to add!
Kali, co-rec softball is being stongly looked at for next Fall or Spring.
Softball should definitely be an option! Either co-ed or both softball and baseball.
Why don’t we have a baseball team?
Janet, there are no ACC collegiate sports teams at this time but we do offer many sports in our Intramurals program.

Sounds fun. Other sports should be added; Lacrosse, Ultimate Frisbee and Men’s Volleyball would be awesome.
