Study Abroad Application and Scholarship Deadlines Extended to March 31

The deadline to apply for all summer 2014 study abroad programs is extended to Monday, March 31.

Applications for Board of Trustees’ Study Abroad Scholarships and the Mylena Chavez Study Abroad Scholarship will also be accepted through the new March 31 deadline.

“There is no better way to expand your awareness of the world than to live, study, and experience another country and culture firsthand,” says International Programs Director William Hayden. “Studying abroad gives students a great opportunity for personal growth, and ACC makes doing so affordable and accessible.”

ACC Study Abroad programs are available in 13 different countries during summer 2014. Programs are typically five to six weeks, beginning with intensive course work in Austin and then moving to the program’s country for an immersed cultural and academic experience.

For more detailed program information and to start your application, visit austincc.edu/studyabroad, or contact ACC International Programs at (512) 223.7114 or studyabroad@austincc.edu.

How does the extended scholarship notification deadline affect the payment in full deadline of April 1st?

I would like to know if high school students can also apply to study abroad. I would like to go to Japan not this summer but the next.

Maria, Early College Start students are eligible to participate in ACC’s study abroad programs if they are over 18 years old. Tuition and fees for the ACC class are waived but not fees for the trip and other related expenses. See the study abroad website for more information.
