We are continuing to coordinate weather-related information with the regional Emergency Operations Centers and with officials from the city, county, area universities, school districts, and numerous other agencies. Below is the most updated information available this morning.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Austin-metro area, which is expected to expire at approximately 9:00 a.m. Temperatures should start to move above freezing between 9:00-10:00 a.m. with precipitation moving eastward from the Austin-metro and Travis County area.
Anticipated Road Conditions:
Some ice accumulations are reported on bridges, flyovers, and exposed surfaces where cold air can get underneath (e.g., cars, decks, etc.). Drivers and walkers are advised to use caution, particularly in these areas.
There are no reported power outages at this time.

All previously scheduled meetings, events, and activities will be delayed until 11:00 a.m. All classes that were scheduled to start before 11:00 a.m. are cancelled. All classes that were scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. or later will be held. Additionally, five ACC campuses (NRG, PIN, SAC, RRC, and HYS) are election polling locations for today. These polling sites will have a delayed start, opening at 11:00 a.m. and anticipated to remain open until 9:00 p.m.
ACC will continue to monitor the weather this morning; however, at this time, I do not anticipate sending more emails today. If conditions change, I will be back in touch with you immediately. Please check your e-mail; or the ACC homepage at: http://www.austincc.edu/; or Facebook; or Twitter; or your local television or radio station for updates.
I send best wishes to everyone for a safe and warm spring break, followed by months of three-digit summer temperatures!
