ACC Hosts Free Women’s Conference July 19

Austin Community College will host the 10th annual Women’s Health, Motivation, and Empowerment Conference Saturday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Eastview Campus (3401 Webberville Rd., Building 8000, Rm. 8500).

The free event is for women and teen girls seeking to enhance their lives personally and professionally. Workshops will address health, family, relationship-building, and career development. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

"Kitchen Diva" Angela Shelf Medearis

Guest speakers are chef, columnist, and author Angela Shelf Medearis, (“The Kitchen Diva”), and Cynthia Nunn, former president of Dallas-based Center for Nonprofit Management and of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. KVUE-TV news anchor/reporter Quita Culpepper will serve as emcee.
