ACC will host Visiting Artist Exhibition: Hollis Hammonds

Austin Community College District will host a reception for visiting artist Hollis Hammonds from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 4, in the Rio Grande Campus Kramer Gallery, 1218 West Ave.

Hammonds is a Kentucky-born artist whose work explores issues of consumer culture. She is the chair of the Visual Studies Department at St. Edward’s University.

Salvaged #1: Ink on Mylar

Her work “Salvaged: Drawings and Debris” will be on exhibit in the Kramer Gallery September 2 through October 2. A gallery talk featuring Hammonds will be 7 p.m. Thursday, September 25.

Gallery admission is free. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays & Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays & Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
