I had the pleasure of taking a course that Professor Hildebrand taught. It was Criminal Investigation. I have to say, one of the best courses I have taken. After reading this bio, I am very blessed to have been taught by someone who has all the experience he has. He always emphasised to be honest, protect your integrity, do things right every time, just as he stated in the article. The Criminal Justice Department is very lucky to have someone with his knowledge and caliber. Thanks G.W.

The man demonstrates the dedication necessary to honor the expectations of his position. His career illustrates that it is in your work ethic that brings status to both his Department and to his own fulfillment. Great Job !!!!!!!!!!

Wow,

Looks like I'm a little late here! But I just stumbled across this website/post. What a great service you folks are providing, during my years in college, even though we had "the best" student gym facility at the time. We never were offered this quality of service from the university regarding our health/fitness.

Great job! Way to go above and beyond. Hopefully this catches on.

Thanks!
-Sean

I first made a issue of the lack of hot water at RGC in 1977. So, the campus must be at least that old. Also, I have kept track of the generations of pigions at RGC and by that count 1975-1977 was when we occupied RGC. Also, in the above news it was mentioned that we are the second largest campus in student enrollment. That might be true, but we have the highest density of students per square foot. When it comes to space utilization the faculty and staff at RGC yearly win a cash bonus for their efficiency. Also, the bathroom odors are the best of all ACC campuses.

the AAt sounds like a great idea! Especially the way the students get introduced to the "real world" of teaching earlier. I have high school sons that are interested in the teaching field. What should they do to make sure their eventual four-year university choice accepts the AAT, or if they all accept it, to ensure that hours earned apply directly to the bacehlor's degree? Are there hours that the university can specify, such as a particular Math or Natural Science course?

Also, we live in Georgetown, but will the ISD work be limited to the Austin ISD, or can they possibly do their student work at their old high school? (They woudl love that, since those are the tachers that inspired them to go into the field).

Professor Hildebrand is an amazing guy. With his background knowledge, experience, education, and personality he could be teaching anywhere in the world. We are truly blessed that he has chosen ACC as his home.
He always takes time for students whether it's in his position as Dept Chair, instructor, providing advice, or just a friendly chat. I am extremely honored to have been able to work with Professor Hildebrand and I am proud to call him my friend.

Austin ISD and ACC signed a 20-year lease in February 1982 for the Rio Grande Campus, but the college did indeed occupy the building earlier - perhaps when it was vacated in 1975?
