We are currently accepting proposals
for the upcoming Fall 08 semester!
The
Center provides free and low-cost learning opportunities to all
interested in learning about or becoming more engaged in the Nonprofit
Sector of Texas. This is only possible because of the generous
spirit and expertise of its more than 180 session leaders, who
donate their time and energy to share their expertise with session
participants.
Session
leaders are individuals with experience and expertise to share.
- If you
are interested in being considered to become a Center Session Leader,
please review the Center's current and past offerings
and submit your proposal with these in minds. Of special interest
are session topics that reflect gaps in current offerings.
- Save the following templates to your desktop: biographical
information template and syllabus template of the sessions you would like to offer. Fill out the documents and email them to kwagner@austincc.edu.
- Once approved we will negotiate a date with you.
- Thereafter, upon having the session scheduled, each prepares
their session presentation and handouts and provides them (preferably
electronically) to the Center's Coordinator of Learning Opportunities,
Candyss Bryantat cbryant1@austincc.edu at
least 10 days prior to their session. Session
materials are converted to PDF wherever possible and distributed
to session registrants several days prior to the session, along
with other session details like room, etc.
Please note: It is our practice to engage presenters on a pro bono basis prior to providing fee-based sessions by them This is to assure quality presentations for nonprofits who are often on limited training budgets.
