Procedure

1.  Identify three variables that might affect the period of a pendulum.

2.  For each variable that you have identified, make a prediction as to how they will affect the period of a pendulum.

3.  Develop a procedure to test your predictions.  Your procedure should specify what variables you are changing, what variables you are keeping the same, what you are measuring, and how you are measuring it.

4.  Carry out your procedure.  Each set of data must have at least 5 data points.

5.  Turn in a typed report which includes:

a.       The variables you are testing and your predictions

b.      A description of your procedure

c.       Your data neatly arranged in tables

d.      Your results and conclusions
