Charging Stations for Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEVs) are available at all ACC campuses, except Highland and Cypress Creek.

How to use Charging Stations at ACC (All campuses except Elgin, Hays, Round Rock and San Gabriel)

  1. Find your campus Charging Stations using the maps in the side bar.
  2. Follow charging and payment instructions marked on the station.
  3. Do not exceed the four hour time limit when parking at a Charging Station.

How to use Charging Stations at Elgin, Hays, Round Rock and San Gabriel campuses

  1. Apply for $25/6 months subscription on ACC's Marketplace
  2. Find campus Charging Stations using the maps in the side bar.
  3. Follow charging and payment instructions marked on the station.
  4. Do not exceed the four hour time limit when parking at a Charging Station.

Payment Options

Charging Stations at all ACC locations except Elgin, Hays, Round Rock, and San Gabriel campuses are run by Austin Energy. These stations cost is $2 per hour or $25 for a 6-month unlimited subscription.

Elgin, Hays, Round Rock, and San Gabriel campuses have the same fee structure, but subscriptions need to be purchased through ACC Marketplace.

Yes, one station is located at an accessible parking space per campus.

How long will it take to charge my electric vehicle?

This depends on the type of vehicle. A completely drained Nissan Leaf will take up to 8 hours with a level 2 charger. A Chevy Volt will take less time due to its smaller battery capacity.

Do charging stations work with any electric vehicle?

The ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations at ACC will work with any electric vehicle on the market. There is an industry standard for level 2 charging: the SAE J1772™ connector that all vehicles on the market will use. 

Where can I charge my electric vehicle when I am not at ACC?

Many Chargepoint EV Charging Stations can be found throughout the United States.
