Dr. Ferrell has over twenty-five years of experience in community college financial administration, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration. His responsibilities include finance, budgeting, environmental health, safety, and sustainability, risk management, human resources, real estate, facilities and construction, facilities maintenance, campus operations, and the ACC Police department.
He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler, a Master of Arts in College Student Development from St. Edwards University in Austin, and a Ph.D in Community College Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been a Texas Certified Public Accountant since 1990.
Prior to working in higher education, Dr. Ferrell worked in public accounting, and the non-profit accounting sector. He has served on numerous financial advisory committees for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and is a past President of the Texas Association of Community College Business Officers.
