Achieving Excellence Committee

Functions:

Monitor compliance with, and ensure accountability for assessment-related requirements of SACS, THECB, and the federal government
Facilitate and provide leadership for effective college-wide evaluation of assessment processes, in support of student success
Facilitate collaborative assessment conversations at ACC
Review and evaluate best practices in student-related assessment and serve as a clearinghouse for this information
Develop and maintain an inventory of assessment activities and serve as a clearinghouse for this information
Review the effectiveness of assessment instruments/tools/practices and make appropriate recommendations, as needed

Recommendations are forwarded to the Academic and Campus Affairs Council.

FY10 Meetings: HBC, Room 301.0, 9:00-11:00am, 3rd Friday (generally), on the following dates: September 18, October 16, November 20, February 19, April 16, June 18, and July 16.
