Functions

1. Develops and recommends college-wide professional development administrative rules and procedures.
2. Develops and recommends guidelines of good practices for the design and delivery of professional development activities.
3. Researches appropriate professional development activities and events.
4. Assists in the evaluation of professional development activities and disseminates the results.
5. Recommends professional development activities and needed resources based on input from faculty and staff.
6. Recommends procedures for linking professional development activities with needs identified in the faculty and staff evaluation process.
7. Seeks input from all areas of the College regarding the effectiveness of professional development procedures and activities.
8. Assists in planning and promoting Faculty and Professional Development Days each year.
