Environmental Health & Safety Committee

Functions:

Recommends procedures and/or administrative rules related to environmental health and safety (EHS).
Assists in ensuring consistent district-wide implementation of safety/regulatory requirements, procedures and administrative rules.
Reviews activities for EHS compliance, including identifying/implementing appropriate corrective actions.
Makes recommendations and assists in implementing improvements to district-wide safety practices.
Periodically reviews employee and student injuries, root causes, and corrective actions to assist in injury reduction and prevention.
Periodically communicate EHS information to faculty and staff.
Assists with implementation of appropriate EHS committees throughout district.

Recommendations: Forwarded to Administrative Services Council.

FY10 Meeting Dates: Meets 1:30-3:30 p.m. in HBC 214 (unless otherwise noted) on the following dates: September 11, October 9, November 13, February 12, March 13, April 9, June 11, and July 9.
