Student Rights and Responsibilities Committee

Functions:

Establish a clear set of student expectations regarding scholastic integrity.
Review and simplify procedures related to student complaints, grievances, and appeals, ensuring due process rights.
Develop clear, concise definitions of what constitutes a complaint and a grievance.
Establish a simple checklist of steps a student should follow when filing a complaint or grievance.
Outline alternative options available to a student other than filing a complaint or grievance.
Outline parameters that will allow for complaints and grievances which are related, to be combined into one review process.

Recommendations: Forwarded to the Student Services Council.

FY12 Meetings: Generallly meet the 3rd Thursday of the month, 3:00-4:30 p.m., in HBC, Room 221.0, on the following dates: September 15th, October 20th, November 17th, February 16th, March 22nd, April 19th, June 21st, and July 19th.
