Student Services Council

Functions:

Develops recommendations for district-wide policies and procedures.
Determines indicators of effectiveness for Student Services.
Reviews annual Effectiveness Improvements Report and Improvement Plans and Progress Reports.
Coordinates services to provide consistency where needed among all sites.
Coordinates the planning and development of student development programs with all the other Councils and units of the College.
Evaluates the progress toward meeting goals of the Strategic Plan.
Reviews budget and staffing priorities and determines their congruence with the College's Strategic Plan for all areas of Student Services.
Serves as a forum for discussion of issues related to Student Services.
Encourages exploration with respect to innovations in student learning.
Promotes opportunities for student leadership and participation in the shared governance process at Austin Community College.
