Orientation

Spring Semester 2012 Online Orientation
[Complete by the 1st Week of classes]

For this Government course you are required to complete an online orientation during the first week of classes. Follow the following process:

1. For this courses we will be using Blackboard, an online web service for course management provided by Austin Community College for Distance Learning courses. The Blackboard page link is listed below. Blackboard provides you with information on how to create a password and how to log in.

2. After you have completed this section of Blackboard you can link to the Syllabus, Study Questions, Writing Assignment, and Discussion Board sections of Blackboard and review all the requirements for the course. Read the Syllabus carefully and be familiar with all the deadlines for tests, discussions, and the writing assignment. Also, make sure you buy the correct textbook.

    

3. Be familiar with the Testing Center Procedures. You will be taking tests at any of the main ACC Testing Centers. Read and understand the Policies and Procedures on how to use the ACC Testing Centers and also be familiar with hours of operation. 4. After you have completed this steps, then you will need to e-mail me the following information:
   Full Name, Course and Section number, Contact phone number, e-mail address, and a statement verifying that you have read the Syllabus and Testing Center Procedures. Make sure you provide your most recent e-mail address and phone number in case we need to communicate during the semester.
