Honors Composition II
Honors Students will gain admission by contacting the Honors Office. Students in the class
choose to read for critical analysis all science fiction short stories, all
mystery, or a mix. If students choose not to mix selections, then they buy only
one anthology: science fiction or mystery. The class reads critically and then
writes analytical-interpretive (referential) essays on the fiction elements
within the stories. The fiction elements are central idea, conflict, setting,
character, point of view, and language. Students need to read through all course
materials as an orientation for the class, take the orientation quiz and send
it to me within the first week of class. Please send me your e-mail address
as soon as registration ends. Fax your proof of passing English 1301, unless
taken at ACC. I do not use Blackboard.
