My first efforts in photography were for our high school annual, I shot scenes around the campus, some images for advertisers. Many years later an employer loaned me his Leica to take on vacation, after which a friend helped me process and print my first black & white images. I never recovered from that first experience seeing my first image gradually appear on the blank paper. As I continue to learn and practice my profession teaching is a way for me to share the wonder and joy of the experience with my students and to be refreshed by their creativity and expression.
