Stacy Sodolak

Stacy Sodolak. I am a born and raised Austinite, that should sum up my personality as well. I started photography when I was in highschool, just to take a fun class and I've been taking photos since. After highschool I attended ACC and went through the photography program, where at the time, I took almost every photo class offered by the department. I could definitely call the department my second home.

I finished the program with an Associates Degree. While going to classes I also worked at a local camera store for 2 yrs., Capitol Camera, which unfortunately is no longer around. There I did camera & equipment sales & helped wherever needed. I also did some assisting with a local wedding photographer. I have gone on to do some weddings and a few commercial jobs. I keep assisting & now work at Austin Camera Repair, where I am the manager & do some camera repair.

I have really enjoyed teaching Fundamentals for the last year at ACC. I remember when I got started & want to share that enthusiasm & passion with my students. I really enjoy alternative processes to photography, such as, Cyanotypes, platinum/palladium printing, polaroid transfers and so on. I'm always interested & willing to try something new when it comes to photography.
