Tom's first profession after high school was as a student at East Texas State [now Texas A&M Commerce], finally leaving with a B.S. degree in Photography. Several years and professions later including; retail camera sales, studio manager, construction manager, photo lab, and photo truth stretcher, Tom landed in Dallas . He spent 16 years freelancing in the catalog and advertising photography industry shooting products as varied as fruit cake, drilling rigs, hand towels, wrist watches, and people in a commercial way. Tom has been a lifetime member of Gearhead International, Two Wheel Division, and moving to Austin has brought him closer to the Hill country. Tom has always tried to keep a positive focus on his photography, and has always processed his thoughts and efforts towards the heights and not the depths of the
field of photography.
