The Photography Department regrets to inform everyone that two weeks ago while on vacation J. D. Powell drowned. His wife Mary just called to let us know that We greatly saddened by the passing of J.D, another wonderfully respected and admired faculty member and friend to many in the department. _______________________________________________________ William Kolberg William Kolberg passed Monday, July 21st at 2am at Seton Northwest hospital. A memorial service for William has been set for 11:00 AM, Friday August 29, 2008 at Weed Corley Fish funeral home, 3125 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78705, 512-452-8811.
I believe that this gives us all some time to sort things out, and the date is very apt. This day would have been William's 60th birthday. I am sure he would wish us to celebrate his life, and I'm betting he would think his birthday a fine day to do it.
Please feel free to pass this message on to those whose lives he touched.
