v) Paul Nacozy will be the new Physical Sciences Safety Coordinator beginning in the Fall 2008 semester (Bob)
vi) The Science Safety Committee is scheduling a half-day, field first
aid training session on Saturday September 6 or !3 , 2008 for interested
science faculty and staff. The training will be conducted by an EMT from
Austin EMS. (Bob)
vii). Last month Amy Cunningham, Adjunct Professor of Environmental Science and Geology received the Office of Student Life "Rising Star Award" for her role as faculty sponsor for the Students for Environmental Outreach. The club also received the "Outstanding Club of the Year" award and "Program of the Year Award" for their 24-hours to Empower Bike Ride. (Bob)
viii). Geology faculty and staff will be conducting an all-day field trip on Thursday, May 15 to look for new field trip stops for our geology courses. (Bob)
ix) Lala was awarded ACColades for Fall, 2007 (Paul)
