National Center for Victims of Crime Resilience Project

A strength-based public health initiative aimed to promote the resilience of 9/11 victims, their families, and first responders by helping them cope with the ongoing trauma of the 2001 terrorist attacks through a public awareness and outreach campaign, self-help resources, community-based forums, links to services, and other support. The project helps victims mobilize their own strengths, identify and share strategies to cope with adversity, and strengthen bonds to others affected by the attack. http://www.ncvc.org/resilience

Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance for Terrorism and Mass Violence Grant Program

Developed by the OVC, this program is an open deadline grant program for victim assistance after an act of mass violence or terrorism. The funds may only be used in two situations: a) for compensation purposes for domestic incidents or b) victim assistance in foreign incidents. It is recommended that organizations apply ASAP after the incident occurs.
