SPANISH AND ARCHAEOLOGY

Austin Community College's Mexico Program offers students the unique opportunity to earn college credit for Spanish and anthropology while living and studying in the heart of historic Mexico. From the pre-Columbian Aztecs to the fight for independence and the Mexican Revolution, the Mountain City of Querétaro provides an unparalleled cultural and educational setting. Students live with middle class families (as a member of the family) in neighborhoods near the prestigious Universidad Cuauhtémoc. The Universidad Cuauhtémoc provides classes in beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish that transfer to colleges and universities in the United States. Professor Clint Davis, 1988 Mexico Fulbright research scholar, teaches the Austin Community College course in pre-Columbian archaeology and supervises the program.

Enrollment is limited to 14 and face-to-face interviews are required for program registration. For questions or interviews please contact Prof. Clint Davis at (512) 223-3389/ 459-2207 or cdavis@austin.cc.tx.us.
