HIST 1302 (United States History II) PCM

1. You will need to download the following from my web site at www.austincc.edu/rebhist:

     1. HIST 1302 PCM syllabus for appropriate semester
     2. HIST 1302 PCM learning objectives (also available on Blackboard)

2. You will need to send your Student Information Sheet, filled out, to my email address: mrebhorn@austincc.edu. The Student Information Sheet is reproduced below. 

3. You will also need to send to my email address above the answers to the following questions:

   a. Do you understand that all deadlines must be observed and that work done after the deadlines will not count?
    b. Do you understand that you will need to download the textbook from Blackboard?
    c. Do you understand that the tests are multiple choice, based on the learning objectives at the beginning of each unit, and have you reviewed the sample test questions in the HIST 1302 PCM site on Blackboard for this course?
    d. Do you understand that you are entitled to one retest for EACH test, but that the highest score on this retest  is a 21 and that the retesting must be done BEFORE the deadline date?
    e. Do you understand you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUBMIT REQUIRED PAPERS BY EMAIL.  You will need to use US post, drop them off at my office, or send through ACC campus mail BY THE DEADLINE DATE! Allow time for the papers to reach me by the deadline date specified.
    f. Do you understand the grading system?

g. Do you understand that I will be communicating with you primarily through the Blackboard site, meaning you will need to know your ACC email address and check it frequently?

4. I will reply to your email indicating I have received your Student Information sheet AND the replies to the 6 questions.  Only when you have received this email reply will you be considered to have been oriented.  You must do this by Thursday, September 22, 2011.

5. If you do not complete the online orientation by Thursday, September 22, 2011 , YOU WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE COURSE.
