Document Imaging

In June 1998, the College purchased a document management system Fortis (Westbrook Technologies, Inc.). A web browser interface, PowerWeb, extends the reach of Fortis to allow authorized users to easily access records stored in our database via the intranet.

Advantages of a document imaging system:

• Immediate access by authorized users
• Reduced need for expensive record storage space.
• Reduced staff time in retrieving and re-filing records.
• Ability to enhance the quality of the image.
• Enhanced vital records protection and disaster recovery activities.

ACC's Imaging System, Fortis, has been upgraded, providing greater capabilities to ACC staff managing imaged records.
