Online Orientation for: ITNW 1337 - Introduction to the Internet, for Spring, 2007
Required steps to complete for online orientation:
- Read the syllabus in its entirety.
- Read, study, and understand the schedule.
- Use the following link to orient with Blackboard: Blackboard Student Help.
Visit the following links at the Blackboard site and work through the tutorials:
- Getting Started
- Student FAQs
- Digital Drop Box Guide (Very important!)
- Can't Login? (if necessary)
- After you can successfully sign into, and navigate, Blackboard, there is an initial assignment named Assignment 1 in the "Assignments" folder of
Blackboard. Please obtain a local copy of this document from Blackboard and perform it. This is very important! You must do it in order to
learn how to communicate with me and submit homework assignments using the Digital Drop Box feature of Blackboard. I will accept homework assignments
NO OTHER WAY!
- Each week on about Wednesday or Thursday, the instructor will leave a weekly update document in the Assignments folder on Blackboard. This document
will be available in two formats: Microsoft Word and PDF. If you do not have Microsoft Word, Version 6.0 or later, you can read the weekly document by making sure you
have the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer and use that program to read the PDF version of the document.. You can obtain the latest
version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader (free!) from
Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don't already have it installed on your computer.
- Submit the student form during the week preceding the start of the Spring 2007, sixteen-week term (January 16 thru May 13, 2007).
- OPTIONAL: (but strongly recommended!) Attend an orientation meeting on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, for one hour at 10AM in Building 4, Room 4234 at Northridge.
Don't forget to register for the class in the normal manner, also!
