Course Description: Introduction to computer programming for
windows. Emphasis on the fundamentals of structured design, development, testing,
implementation, and documentation. Includes language syntax, data and file
structures, input/output devices, files and databases. The course will also
emphasize object-oriented programming with encapsulation (creating classes and
instances), inheritance (defining classes the inherit data and/or methods from
existing classes) and polymorphism (overriding base-class methods in derived
classes).
Prerequisite(s): One semester of programming or department approval.

Grade Policy: Grade will be assigned based both on
concepts and practical application. Exams, homework, and lab projects will be a
part of the grade. An overall grade will be assigned on the following
grading scale:
