BUSINESS Correspondence
and Communication
ü Read through the table below; mark your
calendar for daily due dates, tests, reports, etc.
ü Read
the chapter the week before cases and quizzes are due. Study learning objectives, checklists,
chapter reviews as well. Be sure to
organize your work.
ü Visit
Publishers website to view chapter PowerPoint presentations.
(Brantley/Miller
Companion Site)
ü Work
through exercises in textbook; exercises will either be incorporated into
quizzes or may be submitted through Discussion Board or Assignments. See Blackboard.
List below indicates which exercises I have assigned to enhance your writing
skills.
You may complete exercises in your own style; however ,
you will be attaching
some exercises in Blackboard Assignments and/or Discussion Board.
ü Take
quizzes in Blackboard for a course grade.
Due dates are strictly enforced.
ü There
will be a final “exam” consisting of a Discussion Board summary.
ü Complete
cases listed in the last column below.
Submit as a MS Word document in
Assignments. If you submit the wrong
assignment, it is your responsibility to ask me to
clear your attempt so that you may resubmit.
(points may be deducted) When you use Assignments to submit work, your
grades will be view in “My Grades” in Blackboard.
ü There
will be a final case submitted in report format.
ü Daily
work deadlines are usually each week on Monday by midnight.
ü Test
deadlines will usually on Saturday.
ü Be
sure to check Blackboard announcements AND your ACC g-mail at least twice a
week. You may forward g-mail to your
most used email account. IMPORTANT
ü A
very good suggestion for on-line courses is to devote a certain period of time
at least
two to three times a week just for this class; for instance, Monday and
Wednesday mornings. If you develop a
habit of “attending” class, you will be more successful.
Please understand that
the above list will not include all circumstances that may be encountered in
this on-line course. Please be sure to
communicate with me by email, phone or appointment if you are having trouble
getting a study schedule developed for this class.
Orientation: Tuesday, January 17 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 2214, Round Rock Campus
or Wednesday, January 18
at 2:15 p.m. in Room 2214, Round Rock
