Course Description

Course which provides instruction and business applications for designing, updating, and managing a database using Microsoft Access™.  Instruction on creating reports and forms and integrating applications is also included.

Instructional Methodology

 

·         Demonstrations of common tasks, Access terminology

·         Tutorial (which is a task-oriented, step-by-step, approach)

·         Exercise-oriented approach that allows learning by doing

Course Evaluation/Grading:

 

In order to successfully complete the course, you must complete the assignments for 6 projects, take 6 theory evaluations, 6 performance evaluations, and one final performance evaluation (mandatory).  Unannounced quizzes (no make-up) will also be included in the project grade.

Final Performance Evaluation                              10% 

             No daily late work is accepted.  Student will be accessed a late penalty for LATE (make-up) tests.  Missed or late quizzes cannot be made up under any circumstances but with good cause and adequate notice, an early quiz may be given.
