Grade
Policy:
Grade will be assigned based both on concepts and practical
application. Written exams, homework and lab projects will be a part of the
grade. An overall grade will be assigned on the following grading scale:
90% -
100% A
80% - 89%
B
70% -
79% C
60% -
69% D
0% -
59% F
Each student‘s
grade for this course consists of non-comprehensive exams on concepts, Lab
exams using SAM 2010, chapter homework on Microsoft office 2010 applications, and
a departmental final exam.
ASSIGNED PROJECTS AND EXERCISES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN THE Sunday following the ASSIGNED WEEK as INDICATED ON THE SYLLABUS.(FOR
EXAMPLE, ASSIGNMENTS MADE ON THE 1ST OF JUNE ARE DUE NO LATER THAN
SUNDAY JUNE 6TH)
The late policy is as follows:
a) 1 calendar
day late........................................... 20% off
b) More than 1 calendar day late....................... 100% off
Scheduling of computer time outside of
regular lab time is the student‘s responsibility. Availability of computers is NOT
an excuse for being late with any assignment.

The concepts exams are open book
exams. The lab exams are SAM based, and you may NOT use your textbook, your notes, or the Windows/Office
―Help feature as references.
There are no makeup EXAMS in this
course. If you miss an exam you will receive a grade
of ZERO for that exam.
Students are expected to read and
study the assigned material, per course schedule, BEFORE each class.
