I often assign short research projects during the semester. The subject matter varies, but is usually related to a current music business issue. These papers are rarely expected to exceed 2-3 pages in length and you normally have one week to complete them.
The Links below will lead you to information you may use to complete the assignment. This is not meant to limit you to these resources only. I encourage each of you to explore on your own.
This is a dynamic list. I'll change it as often as necessary and keep it up to date for each assignment.

Write a Business Proposal for a start-up INDIE LABEL...
Consider mission, genre, niche, funding, distribution, growth, etc. Use the textbook as your guide. Include a press release announcing your label. Alternately, your press release may announce an important event or artist accomplishment. Just make sure it is relevant and appropriate for your indie label.
