Welcome to the home of the Austin Community College Student Government Association!
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the main voice of the student body. It functions as a crucial link between students and Austin Community College administration. The SGA works to improve the quality and value of the educational experience at ACC by acting as an advocate for student concerns.
SGA urges you to do your part to ensure that Austin Community College continues to meet the needs of the community and students. As a member, you will learn valuable leadership and organizational skills and be a part of a legacy, shaping the future of ACC. All students of ACC are members of the student government.
To be heard, you have to speak out; the SGA only works if you participate. To take a more active role, students should become voting members of the SGA. Voting members include the Executive Council, and Student Senators. Students may be appointed to committees, and have a vote in their respective committees.
By joining SGA, you can:
- Influence the administrative decisions and procedures that affect the student body.
- Develop leadership skills.
- Make your opinion heard.
- Participate in representative government.
- Build your rèsumè and portfolio.
- Have fun and meet new people.
