spacer In the first week of September:
SGRC co-chairs send an email to the Presidents of the four employee associations and the SGA and to the (co-)chairs of all ACC councils and committees, and a submission to be included with the President’s Friday Announcements, requesting recommendations with respect to the structure, functions, and membership of councils and committees at ACC. All responses to this solicitation are to be submitted to sgrc@austincc.edu by the second Friday in November.

First meeting of the academic year (September):
Orientation

Meeting scheduled for between the second Friday in November and the end of the fall semester:
Review the recommendations made with respect to the structure, functions, and membership of councils and committees at ACC and organize them to be sent out for shared governance feedback. The co-chairs of the SGRC are responsible for sending out this set of recommendations for feedback, which must be submitted to sgrc@austincc.edu prior to spring break.

Meeting scheduled for the Friday after the completion of spring break:
The SGRC reviews the feedback, develops an SGRC recommendation with respect to each shared governance recommendation that has been received, and prepares a report to the College President.

Early April:
The College President reviews and responds to recommendations in writing to the SGRC and college constituencies.

Mid April
Organizational Reference is updated as appropriate, and Employee Organizations/SGA asked to update Council/Committee appointees for the next fiscal year.

May or June
SGRC co-chairs present annual report to Board of Trustees.
