Steve Kramer Memorial Scholarship
Austin Community College Art Department Chair Steve Kramer passed away Friday, August 15, 2003. In his memory the ACC Art Department started a scholarship endowment and have renamed the former Austin Community College Art Scholarship to the Steve Kramer Memorial Scholarship. |
Steve Kramer, Artist, Educator, and Art Department Chair, a good man who made many friends at Austin Community College, left a legacy of fairness and strength, as well as an effective and growing Art Department. He will be missed by many in the ACC community, as well as by family and friends. Anyone who knew Steve, on whatever level, felt enriched by his wisdom, depth of knowledge, purpose, and talent. Steve’s desire to educate students, make the best possible environment for faculty, students, and staff, and to diplomatically assure the ACC administration of the importance of a well-funded and effective Art Department, left a strong impression on all of us. We feel that a fitting tribute to his love of teaching will be felt through an endowed scholarship in his name at Austin Community College. To that end we are asking for donations to help fund the "Steve Kramer Memorial Endowed Scholarship."
Contributions can be made through the Austin Community College Foundation. If you wish to send a check, checks should be made out to the ACC Foundation with "memory of Steve Kramer" in the memo field on the bottom of your check. Checks may be mailed directly to: ACC Foundation, 5930 Middle Fiskville Road, Austin, Texas, 78752. The Foundation also has a "pay by credit card" method that allows you to "fax" your contribution to the ACC Foundation. Print the following form, fill it out according to the instructions on the form, on the "Purpose of payment" line please write "Steve Kramer Memorial Scholarship," fax the form according to the instructions on the form.
