To receive financial aid, you must be working toward an eligible degree or certificate. The Financial Aid Office reviews financial aid recipients' eligibility at the end of each semester.
NOTE: To receive financial aid you must be maintaining satisfactory progress regardless of whether you have previously received financial aid.
Eligible credit hours include
- Credits that apply toward your degree or certificate
- Developmental Education up to a maximum of 30 credits
Credit hours that do not count include:
- Credits not required for the completion of your degree or certificate
- Developmental Education beyond a total of 30 credits
- Credit-by-exam and audited courses
- Adult Basic Education or GED classes
The following certificates are not eligible for funding:
- Automotive Technology Enhanced Skills Certificate
- Building Construction Technology Marketable Skills Award
- Child Development CDA Training Marketable Skills Award
- Academic CDA Training Institutional Certificate
The following certificate programs are not eligible for full funding:
Based on the federal formula for program eligibility these certificate programs are not eligible for full funding. The formula conversion will be applied to determine federal funding entitlements from Title IV programs. The award amount is contingent upon the courses enrolled and the number of hours taken.
