To be eligible for financial aid you must:

  • Demonstrate financial need, except in the cases of some loan programs
  • Have a high school diploma (and passed TAKS) or have a General Educational Diploma (GED)
  • Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student working toward a degree or certificate program in an eligible program at ACC.

  • Transient Students and Consortium Agreements
    • Students who are taking classes at ACC, but are earning their degree from another institution are considered transient students for financial aid purposes. Financial aid must be awarded by the institution the student is earning the degree from. This can only be accomplished through a Consortium Agreement issued by the degree granting school. Students should contact their home institution for instructions.
    • Student is responsible for payment of their tuition and fees at ACC. ACC cannot be responsible for payment of tuition and fees since the parent school will be awarding the financial aid directly to the student.
