Refunds will be sent to you according to your ACC OneCard preference.
Students who are registered for multiple sessions may not receive all funds at the beginning of the 16 week session (tuition will be paid).
A valid FAFSA must be submitted prior to the last class day of the semester. Failure to do so forfeits your right to receive the grant.
If you have been awarded a loan you must complete your complete your MPN and entrance counseling at www.StudentLoans.gov in order to receive your funds. Instructions for accepting your Federal Direct Student Loan (PDF).
Federal Stafford Loans
Students will have their funds electronically transmitted to Austin Community College and refunds sent to you according to your ACC OneCard preference.
We will begin disbursing funds the first week of classes, except for first time borrowers. See FA Disbursent Dates.
- Students must be registered for at least six (6) hours during a session.
- All borrowers at ACC must complete a loan counseling session prior to release of the first disbursement.
- Any changes to your enrollment or loan period may cause a delay or cancellation of your loan.
NOTE: First Time-First Year Borrowers
Federal regulations require that ACC delay the first disbursement of Stafford loan funds for all first time-first year borrowers.
Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student (PLUS)
PLUS checks are mailed to the borrower after the student's tuition and fees are paid in full. Instructions for Parent PLUS Loan Applicants (PDF).
