Receiving Your Aid

If you received a financial aid letter, the college will deduct any tuition and fees or balance owed to the institution. Refunds will be sent to you according to your ACC OneCard preference. Note: If you complete your file after the priority deadline, allow three weeks for processing time.

 You must choose your ACC OncCard preference prior to the start of the semester to ensure your refund is not delayed in any manner.
The Pell Grant Student Aid Report must be submitted prior to the last class day of the semester. Failure to do so forfeits your right to receive the grant.
 Students who are registered for multiple sessions may not receive all funds at the beginning of the 16 week session (tuition will be paid).

Loans by Web

Austin Community College is a Loans by Web School. This means processing and tracking of your loan application is easier than ever before. Once you have been awarded a Stafford Loan you can activate your loan by going to Loans by Web. Your loan application process will not be complete and you will not receive any funds(and tuition will not be paid) until the Loans by Web process has been completed online. Federal Stafford Loans

Students borrowing through a non-TG lender will receive their checks through the Financial Aid Office. Students using Texas Guaranteed for Federal Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans will have their funds electronically transmitted to Austin Community College. You will not receive a check from the lender.

 We will begin disbursing funds the week prior to classes beginning.  

• Students must be registered for at least six (6) hours during a session.
• All new borrowers at ACC must attend a loan counseling session prior to release of the first disbursement.
• Any changes to your enrollment or loan period may cause a delay or cancellation of your loan.

Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student (PLUS)

PLUS checks are mailed to the borrower after the student's tuition and fees are paid in full.
