An international student's dependents (F-2 visa holders) may only enroll in avocational or recreational courses; they may not seek degrees without changing to F-1 status before enrolling in the full-time program.
Requirements for Admission
- ACC Admission Application (If you have a SSN, please complete the ACC Admission online application. If you do not have a SSN, please skip this part and complete the Supplemental Application.)
- Supplemental Application for International Students w/photo
- $100 Application (non-refundable)
- Copy of F-2 visa, I-94 card (front and back), and identify page from passport with passport expiration date
- Copy of I-20 (F-2)
- Official High School and/or College Transcript and Diploma (translated into English)
- Official TOEFL score from ETS (Educational Testing Services)
- Transfer Letter (if applicable) - if you are transferring from another U.S. university or college.
- Recommended vaccinations are those listed on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website as well as bacterial meningitis. The bacterial meningitis vaccination is required and must be administered no later than 10 days before the first day of class.

Once the application documents have been completed and submitted to the ACC International Office, the student must meet with an ACC Advisor to be cleared for registering for classes at ACC. Students on an F-2 visa are not allowed to enroll in more than 11 credit hours per semester. F-2 students have no minimum requirement.
NOTE: Under the revised immigration regulations, dependents (F-2) may only enroll in avocational or recreational courses; they may not seek degrees without changing to F-1 status before enrolling in the full-time program. Student’s major must be undeclared non-degree seeking.
Resident status
Student may qualify for in-state tuition. Please check with the International Student Office regarding documentation needed in order to prove Texas residency.
