M-1 Visa - Admission Requirements

Requirements for admission

1. ACC Admission Application (If you have a SSN, please complete the ACC Admission online application.  If you do not have a SSN, please skip this part and complete the Supplemental Application.) 
2. Supplemental Application for International Students w/photo
3. $100 Application Fee (non-refundable)
4. Copy of M-1 visa, I-94 card (front and back), and identity page from passport with passport expiration date
5. Official High School and/or College Transcript and Diploma (translated into English)
6. Official TOEFL score from ETS (Educational Testing Services)
7. Financial Statement of Support – a letter from the bank to show that you or your family have sufficient funds on deposit to meet educational expenses during the first year at ACC. A minimum amount of $15,000 U.S. dollars must be stated on this bank letter (An amount of $2,500 is required for each additional dependent.)
8. Transfer Letter (if applicable) – if you are transferring from another U.S. university or college

Once the application documents have been completed and submitted to the ACC International Office, the student must meet with an ACC Advisor to be cleared for registering for classes at ACC.

Students on an M-1 visa are required to enroll in 12 credit hours per semester to maintain their full-time status (except summer semester).

Resident status

Student may qualify for in-state tuition. Please check with the International Student Office regarding documentation needed in order to prove Texas residency.
