International students are advised to begin the application process several months before the application deadline for the semester they plan to attend Austin Community College. TOEFL and IELTS scores need to be available by the application deadline, so the test should be taken in the fall for spring admission or early spring for fall admission. Please follow the directions indicated by IELTS and TOEFL to have test scores sent directly to the ACC International Student Office.

The minimum acceptable score is 530 for the written TOEFL or 71 (with a 53 composite Reading/Listening/Writing score) on the Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL and the ACC school code is 6759. The IELTS minimum academic band score is 5.5. These scores may be waived if a student studies for two (2) years at an American high school and graduates in the U.S. G.E.D. Certificate holders must meet the TOEFL requirements.

IELTS and TOEFL scores may be waived for students who have studied two years in the U.S. and graduated from a U.S. high school. GED holders must meet the IELTS or TOEFL requirements.
