In the event of an emergency that may require evacuation of a campus building, the evacuation procedures will vary by campus.

The following is recommended for students with disabilities:

1. Ask any instructor, administrator or student to assist you in locating the nearest exit.
2. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR.
3. Immediately exit the building via the closest stairwell/door.  If you are in a multi-story building and are unable to exit the building (due to mobility issues, for example), wait at the designated waiting area (Area of Rescue Assistance) for the campus you are attending.
4. These waiting areas and rally points will vary by campus.  It is your responsibility to become familiar with the location of these areas.  If you have any questions, contact the OSD Supervisor at that campus.
5. Ask someone leaving the building to notify the Administrator–in–Charge (look for the orange hat at the rally point) or emergency personnel of your location and need for further assistance.
6. After receiving requested assistance and upon evacuation from the building, wait outside the building at the designated rally point* for that campus, to ensure individuals are accounted for.
7. Do not re-enter the building until being advised by the Administrator-in-Charge that it is safe to do so.
