Bastrop Education Fund Survey
Bastrop ISD High School Students views on Early College Start.

Community colleges offer only the first two years (freshman/sophomore) of college, and they meet the same accreditation standards as four-year colleges and universities. Most community college courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities, though this should always be verified if you already know which college or university you hope to attend. Your counselor or principal can help you determine this.

The Bastrop Education Fund and your BISD officials would like to help you earn college credit before you graduate from high school. This "early start" on college can help reduce the amount of time it takes for you to get a certificate, two-year Associate degree, or four-year Baccalaureate Degree after you graduate from high school (plus at the lower tuition rates while you're still in high school).
