Culinary Arts Department at Eastview Campus began Composting practices to divert at least 80 percent of the program's waste.

To help further reduce the landfills, Culinary Arts department will start using compostable packages for to-go orders or leftovers. The composting practices will also be practiced and taught at ACC's Child Lab School.

Composting practices at Eastview Campus not only demonstrate the right thing for the environement but also save money for the district by reducing the number of waste dumpsters.

Note: A local food-waste composting and organic-recycling provider makes a weekly pickup at Eastview Campus.
